Monday afternoon, I cast on a pair of socks. This is my first break for selfish knitting in a while, I am enjoying it so much. Honestly, it’s Wednesday, and I’m ready to turn the heel. That’s right- I’ve already done the toe, foot, and gusset. They’re practically flying off the needles!
I’m using some Candy Skein Yummy in the Butter Mints colorway- light pastels that still have Tami’s signature depth of color. I received it in a generous give-away, and I am so thankful for that! Since my feet are so tiny, I’m going to try to only use half of my 100g skein for the pair.
The pattern is By the Seine River by Dona Knits, one of my favorite bloggers. I’ve been jealous of the pattern since it came out, so I’m really excited for the chance to knit it! Of course, I can’t knit a pattern without modding the heck out of it, so I’ve converted these socks to toe-up, using Judy’s Magic Cast On and my regular toe-up sock pattern.
